W.B. Thompson
Thompson graduated from Trinity University with a B.A. in History and from Campbell University with a J.D. His artistic style matches his personality and temperament with the bold colors in his paintings, as he accepts the color and form as abstractly applied splashes of color overlapping with subsequently outlined forms.
Thompson’s work is the product of process balanced with risk-taking and intuition. The process involves using mixed media and reinvention until he finds the image to be satisfactory. His work is believed to be a part of the current evolution in art bridging abstraction and expression to a post modern assimilation.
