Sharon Wood Castro

Sharon has had an ongoing love affair with horses since she was a toddler. Her life has always revolved around equines and after a twenty five year career working with Thoroughbred race horses, she traded in her helmet for a camera. Her photography captures the romance and grandeur that these great and mighty beings have always evoked in her dreams.

Also an outdoor enthusiast, nature themed works are an equally tended subject. Living in the Adirondack region provides opportunities to capture places and moments both beautuful and timeless.

Always seeking to grow and explore within the artistic realm, her work often incorporates both photography and painting.
