Barbara Lane

Growing up in picturesque upstate New York, Barbara Lane was surrounded by stunning lakes and mountain vistas. Her love of nature and animals was apparent from a very young age. She spent hours watching birds and chipmunks and admiring the beauty that surrounded her. Though she enjoyed painting and drawing as a child, most of her creative time was spent on musical endeavors. She taught herself to play the piano and guitar by ear and spent most of her free time writing and recording songs.

After graduating from college, Barbara started an interior design business but gave it up several years later when her music career took off unexpectedly. She spent the next decade working as a successful professional musician performing in nightclubs, resorts and casinos. She went on to study photography and ran a photography business and later studied painting and drawing at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco which evolved into her career as an artist.

"I paint to capture the beauty, grace and magic of this truly magnificent planet. I choose to put my attention on peace, tranquility and the wonder of nature and want to evoke the same emotional response in others. I create from my heart with the hope to share, inspire and uplift others."
